The law firm of Havens and Havens was established in 1984 by brothers Paul and Phil Havens, both honors graduates of the University of Iowa Law School. Before the establishment of Havens and Havens, Paul practiced law from 1973 to 1978 in Storm Lake with the firm of White, Prichard, Flores, and Havens, and from 1978 to 1984 with Flores and Havens law firm. In 1984, Phil left the Independence, Iowa law firm of Roberts and Havens, with whom he had practiced since 1978, to join Paul in their Storm Lake law practice. Paul retired in 2016.
